Final Fantasy VII Remake: The story of this first, standalone game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project covers up to the party's escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the classic original.
Remnant: From the Ashes: Play as one of the last remnants of humanity attempting to retake a world overrun by monstrous, interdimensional invaders. Venture into dynamically-generated worlds alone or with up to two other survivors, scavenging for supplies and modding your equipment to strengthen your chances of survival when tackling over 100 deadly varieties of enemy and battling epic bosses.
Farpoint: PSVR: Master an arsenal of weapons to keep yourself alive on a hostile alien world in this free-roaming, first-person PS VR shooter. Optimised for the PlayStation VR Aim controller and fully playable with a DualShock wireless controller, strike out towards your crashed space station solo or with a friend in online co-op. Trade alien threats for testing each other's skills in a variety of Versus game modes.
Maquette: Maquette sets you in the center of a world the rules of which are very different from our own. Solutions to puzzles require you to twist the world recursively – manipulating the landscape of a diorama will see those changes mirrored in the life-sized version that surrounds you.

Square Enix probably want more sales since DLC episodes is locked behind PS5 upgrade.
The PS+ PS4 version is just a free sample of core game w/o upgrades
It's the player's choice. If you really want the upgrade so bad, buy the disc. I have a PS5 and I am still going to take the free game. I do appreciate the option. I have a backlog so big I don't need to sweat the DLC.

Wonder why they did it that way. Weird to leave PS5 customers out of this one

It's not just the dlc you are missing out. The ps5 version brings new game modes, decreased loading times, and improved graphics (4k 60 fps).
the new game modes might be for ps4 but they only showed them for the new update for ps5

I know that. Personally, it doesn't merit $70. If I really MUST get the PS5 version, I'll make a new account to purchase it on. It's no big deal if you accept this free game. Plus if you don't like it, you won't have to spend on the PS5 version anyway.

If you really do want the DLC, etc you can just buy the PS4 version as you said Ecin. Instead of paying $70 you can buy it for $30 on Amazon right now and get the free upgrade when the PS5 version is released. https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fant...273&sr=8-1
And in April the next Oddworld game on PS5 will be free on launch day. If you have managed to get a PS5 then PS+ has been excellent for the last few months, especially when you add in the PS+ collection on top of it. For $30 a year its a steal. https://blog.playstation.com/2021...5-april-6/
I'm fine with this as long as they offer some sort of upgrade to the ps5 edition as paid DLC. I finished the game and sold my copy but would be OK with throwing a little extra $$$ to see the additional content.

You shouldn't need to make a new account to purchase it. I'm not sure when, but it seems Sony finally wised up and changed it so you can buy games you already got for free from PS+, as long as you're doing it from the system store and not the site. I noticed it a couple weeks or so ago when I was looking through the games in the latest sale and saw that some games I definitely knew I had from PS+ were showing the sale price instead of Purchased. When I went into the game it had two buttons for it: the first said either Start or Download, depending on whether you have it installed at the time, and the other was the Add to Cart button showing the price. I just did a quick screenshot with one of the more recent freebies that's currently on sale so you can see what I mean.
So if I already have the disc version installed would it be a bad idea to delete it and go digital? Sounds like I will end up having to re-install the disc version again once the PS5 patch comes out.

It was $30 on Amazon and Wal-Mart this week. Still is $30 on Amazon.
