Usually, customers receive a minimum 1% back for using the card, rising to 2% for Apple Pay transactions, and 3% for Apple Card with Apple Pay purchases through Apple's outlets and select partners. In an email to select Apple Card customers, Apple is changing the Apple Pay Daily Cash reward to 3% for all qualifying transactions, regardless of retailer.
it's not a top tier credit card for rewards, but the 3% on apple.com is kind of nice to buffer the hit of sales tax on stuff that rarely goes much less than retail (e.g. current gen iphones/macbooks/ipads etc) combined with the 10% off for veterans.
all that said, no email here either. Also hard to think of any retailers that take apple pay where 3% cash back would be better than existing reward cards.
