Not a bad deal, it doesn't sound like you have to keep the XM subscription for longer than that, it actually says to remember to cancel if you don't want further charges.
The offer is beaten to death with tips and tricks on Reddit.
Edit: forgot to add, it was a long chat to cancel and kept getting spammed with retention attemps. No biggie since I was at work goofing off but it was time consuming
