Really, what seems more likely:
- There are paid posters on Slickdeals that get kickbacks from posting, or otherwise benefit from misleading people.
- People have differing opinions.

I swear the propensity of the average person to believe and even make up conspiracy theories is one of the biggest issues facing the US and the world at this time.
Also be aware that the grey color looks more like a dark green in real life
I've had this bag for years. It's been to multiple countries, through deserts, traveling and plenty of day-hiking. It's water resistant, but even during a downpour only the seams got a bit wet. I bring this for any travel because it packs so small.

Bought this almost a year ago (Feb 2) for $21.17.

Great bag, but I haven't used it much — it's big enough compressed that you need another bag to carry it.

Great bag for some light hiking or to bring with you when working out. It's so light you hardly notice it. Packs down really small too. This color is definitely green though. I was surprised when mine showed up because of how green it is. I don't mind though.

I have this. It's a solid bag. I'm not the smartest and haven't ever been able to figure out how to stuff it 😬😂💦

Perfect for when you're only allowed one under-seat carry on (and you stuff an oversized duffel into the overhead anyway), so that you have something portable at your destination.

I bought and retuned this very pack. Its looked and felt cheap . The Eddie Bauer stowaway is a better choice if you want a packable backpack

I've had both these bags and you couldn't be more mistaken. In this case you've confused "lightweight" for "cheap". The Osprey is a better built, lighter weight bag that packs down smaller.

Advice for people purchasing this: buy a suspenders strap or aftermarket chest strap for all-day comfort, as this doesn't have one.

I consider it cheap looking because the straps are uncomfortable with little to no padding and the body of the bag material is thin and transparent that you can see the contents inside .

The material of the eddie bauer is thicker and stronger

LoL. Suspender strap
