This design is a blatant knock-off of a product called Trilight which was first sold at Touch of Modern a few years ago. Their version had motion-sensing and I think the product was around $69/light or close to that. Like most of the stuff on TOM, I'm pretty sure the original Trilight was a not-completely-successful Kickstarter offering, FYI. I have one of these lights in a basement utility/water heater area and it provides almost blinding light, much needed in that particular location.

This is an obscure point. Everything is a knock-off, unless invented new. Surely no one browses SD for inventions, right? SD is all about deals on quality products. In that sense, your last sentence was relevant and helpful. .
Sorry if I offended. Not trying to bash your deal. More of an observation. The light has an unusual design, I think on that we can agree. It's not coincidence that this one looks strangely identical to the name brand. Does it matter? Probably only to the guy who did the original design work. Thanks for the deal.

Sorry! I was not the OP. And I didn't find your comment offensive in any way. I was just curious why being a 'knock-off' is bad. I would think 90% of the stuff we buy are knock-offs. Otherwise, we will have to buy designer stuff like expensive perfumes and dresses that cost a bomb for absolutely little justification. Thanks for pointing out that the light works. If its inventor lost out, I feel bad. However, there are ways to go after the imitators unless they happen to be in China. BTW, I am all for protecting IP.
These are very bright. I bought a similar two pack in the last deal. Removed the plastic cage from a cheap medium base socket trouble light to use one of them as a flexible work light.
Lot's a shills posting on here, all you have to do is look at number of post and it's obvious they are trying very hard to get this thing on the front page.

if you watch, you can get an 8 pack of 4' lights for ~$40.
spreading out the light means less shadows, which imo is key for utility type areas like a garage, laundry, basement, etc.
