Thank you, OP. The 7-year warranty (5+2) is what convinced me to pull the trigger on this instead of the top-rated TCL R635 (currently available for $200 more sigh)

My friend has a 65" TCL 6 series, and I am getting this Sony delivered on Wednesday. I'll report back once I set it up. My main concern is the so called "soap opera effect" on these new 60 Hz TVs. I'm replacing a 10-years-old Panasonic plasma TV, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

I ended up buying the Hisense H8G on sale at PCRichards (price matched at Best Buy) for the same price of this Sony with 5 year geek squad warranty. That's good enough for me, and the Hisense (aside from panel lottery issues) rates much better.
