If you look at the i7 with 512 hard drive model, its almost $600 cheaper and this includes the keyboard.

I have the OG version of this (X1 Tablet). Build quality is fantastic and typing / pen writing experience is excellent. Reviews indicate this continues in that vein.

I used to think these were the bees knees (tablet with attachable keyboard).
But paying $750 for 2-in-1 Yoga (10th gen i7; 12GB RAM; 512 GB storage) and then $750 for a ThinkBook (11th gen i7; 16GB RAM upgradable; 512 GB storage) last year, I would have to say that the 2-in-1 are actually more flexible for various reasons.
1. The lower price. Two 2-in-1s for the price of 1 tablet with detachable keyboard.
2. The multiple configurations. (tent, laptop, tablet)
3. The ability to place on a car dash (keyboard up) and hang the screen down
4. Not worrying about the detachable keyboard having connection issues.
5. Upgradable RAM (add up to a 32GB stick for 40GB total) and an m.2 slot on the ThinkBook. Also, a micro SD card slot for added storage.

Yeah, the keyboard on the convertible in tablet mode is a little weird, but that is the least used configuration.
Yeah, the weight is much less with just a tablet, but I get a 14" screen with my 2 convertibles.

I have the older model of this (ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 2) and it's fantastic. I've been using it as my primary laptop despite having a XPS 15. You can't beat the lightness and flexibility.

Highly recommended.

Looks nice. Used to love Thinkpad brand, but now it is a Chinese brand. Pass. I'd rather not deal with potential spying and other weirdness going on.

Rather pay more for a Surface.
I'm guessing you're not aware that the Surface brand is made in China?

I bought one instead of the SP7. Better specs minus the screen...we will see... Got better discount using coupon THINKMARCH (adding ch to the end) and also stacked a military discount.

We will see...ordered yesterday will be delivered tomorrow.

also got 39$back in Lenovo and 2.5%cash back with SD plugin....will see how it works...

also upgraded to the I7/512/16 for a few hundred more but should be worth it..

Manufactured in China and designed, created, manufactured, supported and controlled by a Chinese company is very different. Maybe you aren't aware of that difference. 🤷🏽 ♂️

FIY: Your comment of practically all products being made in China isn't very unique. At this point, it's frankly cliche. Everybody knows.
I'm perfectly aware of the difference and I didn't say anything about all products being made in China, that's just you projecting apparently, but go off I guess.

Thanks for your input.

Also people should consider the yoga 9i. 11th gen i7, 16gb, 512gb, 15hr batter, 3lbs that can be had for under 900 open box at best buy right now. I tried one but returned due to minor screen defect.

I'm now on the fence of getting another or getting lg gram 17 at costco for 1200 on March 10th.

Tablet ability is very cool but 14 vs 17 inch screen seems like a big deal. Gram is 16x10 and i9 is 16x9 also.

Hard decision and obviously price difference is 300$

Love people in the US worry about some Chinese Gov thousands of miles away. NSA is much more likely to do shit to me. Simple logic but people can't seem to figure that out. LMAO

You mean how you projected onto me that I didn't know Surface products are made in China?

But go off I guess.

There is a lot more than just spying at stake. Simple logic, but not everyone can figure that out.
