But paying $750 for 2-in-1 Yoga (10th gen i7; 12GB RAM; 512 GB storage) and then $750 for a ThinkBook (11th gen i7; 16GB RAM upgradable; 512 GB storage) last year, I would have to say that the 2-in-1 are actually more flexible for various reasons.
1. The lower price. Two 2-in-1s for the price of 1 tablet with detachable keyboard.
2. The multiple configurations. (tent, laptop, tablet)
3. The ability to place on a car dash (keyboard up) and hang the screen down
4. Not worrying about the detachable keyboard having connection issues.
5. Upgradable RAM (add up to a 32GB stick for 40GB total) and an m.2 slot on the ThinkBook. Also, a micro SD card slot for added storage.
Yeah, the keyboard on the convertible in tablet mode is a little weird, but that is the least used configuration.
Yeah, the weight is much less with just a tablet, but I get a 14" screen with my 2 convertibles.
Highly recommended.
Rather pay more for a Surface.

We will see...ordered yesterday will be delivered tomorrow.
also got 39$back in Lenovo and 2.5%cash back with SD plugin....will see how it works...
also upgraded to the I7/512/16 for a few hundred more but should be worth it..
FIY: Your comment of practically all products being made in China isn't very unique. At this point, it's frankly cliche. Everybody knows.

Also people should consider the yoga 9i. 11th gen i7, 16gb, 512gb, 15hr batter, 3lbs that can be had for under 900 open box at best buy right now. I tried one but returned due to minor screen defect.
I'm now on the fence of getting another or getting lg gram 17 at costco for 1200 on March 10th.
Tablet ability is very cool but 14 vs 17 inch screen seems like a big deal. Gram is 16x10 and i9 is 16x9 also.
Hard decision and obviously price difference is 300$

But go off I guess.
