Had this deal a few times through end of 2020.
There were rumors of the new baseline iPad being introduced this spring with 64gb base storage.
Now those rumors appear to be gone.
If they are not going to refresh the base iPad until fall/winter 2021, this may be the best deal on a base iPad for a while.

iPad 8th Gen is what most people probably can get by nowadays since it is pretty powerful with the last refresh and supports the Apple Pencil 1st gen. it is a good price but the 32 GB memory is the major downside to this iPad. The other con for me is that it doesn't support Apple Pencil 2 which I would prefer for the charging capability instead of the weird way to charge the Apple Pencil 1, but guess they had to cut a few corners for the price. Would opt out for the 128 GB if you plan to do photo editing, gaming, video editing, etc.

The 32 GB cripples this iPad. It's so easy to fill it up with a few games. 64 GB should be the baseline storage for new iPads in 2021.

Microcenter is bad about their online inventory being wrong, and trying to upsell when your in the store to pickup an ipad that doesn't exist
