I have the same concerns, when sneaker designs go with those thin condensed foam upper tongues and thinner looking plastic mesh toe boxes I get worried about how they'll hold up over use. It's like a cheap wallet that separates at the outer seams because it's bonded glued leather and not stitched leather. I'll give em an inspection once they arrive and post some feedback here!

I'd consider this shoe if I could find one review on it. Pretty odd there are no reviews on their own site.
I just purchased based on some reviews of the previous Machina HOVR shoes from some running websites. Seems like they had high praise for the shoe at the $150-$170 price range and this one is free returns and also has 10% C-B at one of the popular sites.

My concern is that the upper on this shoe is totally different than the previous HOVR shoes. I think I'll have to pass. Heck of a deal, although retail's a bit inflated.

If they had a halfway decent colorway of the regular Machina at this price, I'd bite. But the clear nylon mesh upper on the Mars kind of weirds me out. I can't imagine it'll hold up well to significant mileage, either.
Why do I want these? These seem like the type of shoes that would look good in pictures but not on your feet. I wouldn't be getting these to run in, just kick around town. I mean, free returns....
Does anybody have experience with these vs the big running brands? I generally wait for the deals on the well known high ends, but I'm not familiar with ua for running.
