Not sure why or who set to be expired but happened shortly after posting. It's still not expired. I put a little notice at the top of the post that says it is not expired. Maybe a mod will see it and fix the issue so more people will realize its not and actually be able to take advantage of the deal.

I was able to get the final price down to $2,144.93 after applying an additional 10% off unique coupon code for military. So takeaway- if you're military, you are able to stack an additional coupon on top of the SAVE17. Clutch!

Does a 3080 make any sense on a 1080 screen? Or is the idea that this will generally be docked to a higher res monitor?

Docked or moved around. Also allows higher res VR.

I personally dock my Alienware Area51m to a 34" UWQHD Alienware G-Sync monitor, but I like having it because when work calls for travel, just remove it and go.

I've tried Alienware laptops a few times over the years. If you find a good deal with great specs it sounds awesome until it comes and cpu/gpu are running 90° when playing games and the keyboard gets unbearably hot.

Yeah for getting as many frames as possible from the 360hz monitor, and what the other guy said about docking and VR.
