Have used it for 6 years and paid 200$ for it. Fantastic e reader. It was the luxury Kindle before Oasis. This is an amazing deal.

I bought a Voyage from last deal posted. Came in pristine condition and my 10 yr old son has it for reading books. He is super happy w it.

Buyers remorse and defective products are typically returned to the manufacturer and are tested, cleaned, contact parts are replaced, then made complete (all accessories/manuals, remotes) before being sold as refurbished.

This exact thing happened to me last year. Customer service said Voyage was out of stock so they offered a partial refund & discount code towards a future purchase. Having almost bought a Paperwhite in the first place I took them up on it with no regrets, but of course Voyage showed back up on Woot a couple weeks later.

I bought a like new in the previous iteration of this deal, really great little eReader. Battery life keeps a reasonable charge. My only complaint is that mine has several stuck pixels that are screaming bright compared to those around them.

Tbh, I have been a Woot customer since its pre-Amazon days. Since Amazon bought it, Woot had become an outlet for items that Amazon can't sell through its own outlets. The original founder of Woot started a new site called Meh. Still entertaining and decent deals on new items rather than refurbs.

I purchased from a previous woot deal and I expect these are trade-ins that have had any broken electronics replaced. This is an older device that hasn't been sold as new for a while, so people aren't returning new devices for buyers remorse at this point.

The one I received had noticeable signs of wear on the back. The screen was great with no defects and the battery about what I'd expect from a new third party replacement (comparable to, but slightly worse than my second gen paperwhite).

If you don't need Audible support via Bluetooth then you're getting a device with all the features of the latest paperwhite for half the cost (in a design many prefer). Cases are harder to find though since it's an older device.
