I've found the way to make these last longer is not to allow them to be pressurized without flow.
They are less stressed when flowing, like connected to a running sprinkler.
If you use a valve on the end to shut it off, they build up pressure and the inner hose pops off of the end fittings.
If you have really high pressure water supply, it makes them more likely to burst.

I usually get 2-3 years out of mine. Definitely less durable but significantly more convenient than a rubber hose. Don't leave them full of water when not in use. They probably wouldn't do well if full of water when it freezes, but you shouldn't have any hose hooked up then anyway

Some reviews/picts show that the male connector is a quick connect rather than standard screw-on. Assuming so & you want to use a different end, hopefully other quick conn will fit well...

I had one like this and it developed a small rip after a few months that can't be repaired, unlike a normal hose. So YMMV

Do not extend more than 80% of the advertised length. In this case it would be Max 40ft. I used 3 different brand last summer all broke when it was stretched.

How does this compare with the 100 ft for 40 at costco in terms of durability and functionality?

B&M for 39.99.

bought a similar one last year for light weight and portability, but it just won't last and eventually started to leak after a few times of usage...and now I only buy heavy duty ones.
