Each time I see these 2 for 1 sales, I get excited, browse around and then feel disappointed by the extremely limited selection that is put out...

I found a couple good titles in case anyone doesn't have them yet:
  • Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
  • American Gods

Almost everyone of these is available for a cheaper price if you own the Kindle edition. Many are a part of Kindle Unlimited and one was currently free as a Kindle edition. Just FYI.

Another benefit of the credit sales is they usually offer additional credits for $10 each (have to buy three ). Once you get down to your last credit, the option usually pops up in a banner. Not the best deal ever on audible, but if you're taking advantage of the two for one... that's not a bad price for some half decent listening material.

Ok.. I am a credits hoarder lol, and do snag some titles when they come for discount sales.

But this sale is a completely different case than credit sale.

This looks mostly like a meagre clearance isle sale.. Disappointed

Don't forget that your credits don't carry over year to year. It's use em or lose em now. Stupid policy that screws their customers.

This is probably one of their worst selection I've seen.

Nobody loses their credits if they use them before the year is up. That's the policy that you agree to when you sign up for Audible.

I've been an Audible listener since 2004. In that time I have never lost a credit.

Any sci fi or fantasy recommendations? Already have American Gods and not interested in tv show tie in version anyway.

Thanks for basically restating what I said. I've had an account since the 90s. When I first got a subscription, you could carry over credits into the new year. I have no idea why they did away with that, but they did, and I lost several credits, as did thousands of other people. In fact, it was so pervasive that they were sued and lost a class action lawsuit, having to give us credits to make up for our losses. It still felt like they did the bare minimum to appease the lawsuit, rather than truly try to make up for screwing over their loyal customers. Amazon has not been good for Audible.
