I have an older model one and love it. It's starting to fail on my clicks sometimes. I notice it while playing my FPS. Thinking of getting this for her cut finally gives up on me.
lots of complaints on the scroll wheel and clicking issues.
I will never forgive logitech for discontinuing the g500
Got mine from WorstBuy for almost a year playing mostly MOBAs. I have none of those issues. However, I got a random DPI change mid game without me making any adjustments. Downloaded the Logitech app not only updated the heros firmware but I haven't seen the shift in DPI as of yet. I think it's a solid buy.
I've heard the complaints about the clicking wheel but I think it's just a personal preference issue. I've had mine for about 4 years now and think it's the best gaming/productivity mouse available. I prefer the "infinity" scroll option and sensitivity for many reasons but especially for video editing and web browsing. You can lock it when gaming.
I recommended this to my friend and he hated it for the same reasons I loved it. The sensitivity of the scroll wheel. Some prefer a very sensitive scroll and some are used to the other style scroll wheels.
In the end, if you have never tried it, then it might be best to go to a store with these on display to try them out, or buy it on a trial basis to see if you want to keep it or return it.
I got this when it first was released and I've had zero issues. Not planning on upgrading either. Considered wireless version but not a real Issue
The scroll wheel has a button at the bottom
Of it that allows the scroll wheel to roll freely or with "teeth" / "clicks" / "gears" what we it's called. It'll have the resistance people want
Been using this mouse since 2014 and I've had no issues with it Highly recommend. I'm thinking about buying the wireless model because now I'm trying to just clean my desk of all of the cords
Bought this when it first came out and it's still working great. No complaints at all. This is a solid product.
I think any wheel complaints are from people who click the button just below the wheel and don't realize it which changes the way it operates. I did lose the blue color in the LED on the mouse after a year or so now my blue is green.. but I have the same problem with half of the G910 keyboard keys as well.
I had the G502 Core and then tried to "upgrade" to the G502 Hero. I went through 3 Heros with click issues or a loose scroll wheel and gave up on finding a good one and went back to my Core. There are definitely issues with the Hero that the old Core and Spectrum didn't have. I've since gone to the Basilisk V2 and it's a much better mouse but it has a different scroll issue with phantom scrolls.
First one lasted 3 years before scroll wheel went out. After saving a backup SE for a year, it had a double click issue 2 weeks later. So buying another.
