Sony is the Toyota of TVs. Good quality and reliable. You get what you pay for ... I've seen 75" TVs from mom and pop China factories rebranded for 500-600$. expect them to last a day after the warranty. But things to consider ... contrast. If you're watching movies in the dark vs a room with glare. 120hz is nice for those with sensitive eyes. Keep your eyeballs healthy and don't strain them!

Comparing this TV and the HiSense H6510G which is often $630, is there a significant reason to get the Sony over the hisense if I'm going to use a chromecast anyway? rtings.com rates the two TVs almost the same with very similar pros and cons.

I would get the Hisense. And the hisense was $599.99 the other week.

Yeah I figured. Just placed an order for it last night at $630. Saw this thread and was just thinking "maybe I should invest $300 more for a Sony" but seeing the review and specs they're pretty much the same.

The X750H gets brighter than the H6510, so if you are planning to have the TV in a bright room, that could be a consideration.

One of these arrived at my local Walmart this morning: $798
Same model, 75". Brand new---Factory wrapped.
I did research when i got home: was not listed on brickseek, nor was it listed on the Walmart home online. Was not even listed in local walmart stock.
