I got the EUFY for my parents and the detection has been bad to decent. I don't have ARLO to compare but I have RING and it's detection is much better.

Just be aware that Arlo has a 3 month cloud trial and after that you cannot view stored video without a subscription. 2.99 per camera a month or I think 9.99 for up to 5 cameras. I have never had Eufy to compare though.

A low cost option is YI. The camera's are good and you don't have to have a subscription. Just add an sd card to view recorded clips through the app or on a desktop.

Also be aware that most battery powered cameras's don't have the lookback feature (allows you to see what happened 3 seconds prior to any motion detection.) unless they are powered with an ac adaptor.
