You get just about as much quality as youd expect from a 30 dollar kit.

Ordered something that looked identical a while ago. Quality of the stand and the mic are not good. Stand doesn't work great and is easy to bend / break. Mic sound quality is worse than the mic on my macbook.

Edit: Also, Fakespot gives this a D

Please don't buy this if you're making any content you care about. I buy these mics (the non-usb version) when they're on sale and gut them to build other microphones in the body because they look nice, but inside, they're hot trash. They're electret-based, at least this one advertises the correct 16mm capsule that's normally in them, they don't sound terrible, but the circuits are not filtered properly and typically suffer from a LOT of noise. I highly doubt the circuit in the USB version is any different than the one in the XLR version (I may be wrong), but the XLR version WILL run on 5V, so they wouldn't need to update much of anything except for changing the port on the bottom, and maybe some kind of USB ADC. Just my $.02. If you really want a USB mic, and you're on a budget wait for something like the Blue Snowball to go on sale, I've seen them for about $35-40 at times.

I've never used the USB version of this, but I own the XLR version and it's not as terrible as the comments make it.

Yes it's a $30 (less than that for mic only) mic, but on XLR with proper EQ it does the job well. Discord? Video chats? In-game? All sound like a pro setup if you deal with the negatives up front. It's not difficult at all to make this $30 kit sound like you paid much more.

Again, I've never tried the USB version.

Ironically, your comment actually just makes me wonder on how you go about building the better mics. Could you explain the process to me?
