For those who got in this deal last year - https://slickdeals.net/f/13892417-at-t-1000mbps-internet-for-40mo-with-12-month-bundle-if-you-have-at-t-ymmv, your promo price is ending now or has already ended.

I was able to call 1-800-331-0500 and spoke to Customer Service, who was able to extend the promotion for another 12-months at $49.99. I only have internet with AT&T, so don't get the discounted $39.99 that requires bundling.

As mentioned in title, it is YMMV. Personally, my promotion ended last weekend and monthly billing jumped to $70 + $10 equipment fee. So, a 60% increase.

I got the order confirmation right away which showed the discounted price valid for 12-months with no contract. My new billing had started two days back, but prorated so I pay less next month.

This includes HBO Max, so another reason to hold onto the promo pricing if possible.

My AT&T Fiber Inet 1000 plan promo ended yesterday, -$49.99 plus $10 fee- so I called the number, said Cancel, and when the rep answered I explained I got a notice my bill was raising a lot, and I like their service but I cant afford to pay that new higherprice, since I had other Inet options.

Rep was real polite, said he would research any offers, and about a minute later He came back and said I can offer a $30 a month credit for a year, no contract, and no overage fees. He explained it would be $ 39.99 plus $ 10 equipment fee. Its Fiber inet 1000 with no other services like cell phone to make the discount. Free HBO max as well.

I do NOT have another choice, we live in a new building that Spectrum is not wired into, so the other choices was a total bluff. Spectrums website doesnt even have our building address in their database.

Had it not worked, I would have signed my wife up at our address and took advantage of the new customer promo and the giftcard offers plus cashback site.

The entire call took about 4-5 minutes. Well worth the effort.

My $20 off for 12 months promotion was to end in May bringing my rate up to $69.99 from current $49.99. I called in, said "cancel" and was connected to a customer service rep. I told him that I was considering switching internet unless he could continue my current offer or do better. He offered another $20 off for 12 months promotion. No problem.

I have AT&T Fiber Internet 1GB. I have had no luck with my own routers with their internet service as there is no real DMZ setting so their modem/router gateway won't let all internet traffic through to the routers I have tried (Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4, Google Nest, an old old Tp-Link router). I have been using the Wifi from the AT&T internet gateway modem/router, but it is terrible. The wifi signal strength is excellent, but it drops the internet connection constantly resulting in messages on our devices that there is no internet access. AT&T Support has no answers. Techs have come out and changed the AT&T Gateway 4 times, still the wifo issues persist. If you have another provider go with them.

Have you tired bypassing their router?
I think the ubiquity can handle the certs.

Their Internet Gateway router can't be bypassed as it has the modem built inside. The best you can do is turn on IP Passthrough which is a watered down DMZ so it still blocks things like remote access to PC's, video camera systems, etc.

You have to go into advanced options and configure custom port forwarding rules. I have the latest router & built-in ONT and it was a pain but the settings are in there. I've got remote access to RDP, Plex, TiVo, Subsonic, Calibre, etc.

I tried the dumb router method and then settled on the EAP proxy method with an er-x now doing the routing duties. The big bgw210 just sits powered on connected to the er-x. Read that newer models or recent firmware of 210 might disable this method, but I have been golden so far.

I have port forwarding turned on. It works fine as long as I don't use my own router. When I do that the IP Passthrough does not let all traffic through like the Xfinity gateway did because had a true DMZ setting.

I have the AT&T Fiber/Internet 1000 plan. Signed up last May. My $20 off/12 months discount expires this billing cycle. I called the phone number in the OP post, said "Cancel Internet" to the bot, and got to a person in about 30 seconds. I just said that Xfinity internet would be cheaper in my area if I lose the discount, and the rep gave me a *$30 off* discount for 12 months. My previous bill was $50, now it's $40 a month. Definitely worth giving a call!

Got the $20 off discount.

Was also able to get $60/month off for my mother's Direct TV, without even asking.
