I was able to call 1-800-331-0500 and spoke to Customer Service, who was able to extend the promotion for another 12-months at $49.99. I only have internet with AT&T, so don't get the discounted $39.99 that requires bundling.

As mentioned in title, it is YMMV. Personally, my promotion ended last weekend and monthly billing jumped to $70 + $10 equipment fee. So, a 60% increase.

I got the order confirmation right away which showed the discounted price valid for 12-months with no contract. My new billing had started two days back, but prorated so I pay less next month.

This includes HBO Max, so another reason to hold onto the promo pricing if possible.

not my issue. my friends in another community have same issue. just give you one example, pan.baidu.com. may works at day, never at night. works perfectly on google fiber

My discount was set to expire next month.

I tried calling customer service (not retention) yesterday and wasn't able to get it extended. I started a chat from from AT&T's Facebook page and I was able to extend the $20/month for a year from today.

My address has a lot of competition, with two other 1 Gig symmetrical services available, plus Comcast's 1200 Mbps download speed.

I tried chat via the myAT&T app and they said I was going to get $20 off a month but it never applied. I spoke to two people who claimed that I could only get a discount if I switched my cell service. I asked for retention and ended up getting $30 off a month for another year.

Looking at my bill, they seem to have added an extra promotion. I have two promotions applied: One extends the $49.99 price for another year, and another takes $20 off a month for a year, so my cost is now $29.99 a month plus $10 rental, $20 less than before.

I called the Loyalty Department and asked if there are any promotions available for my Internet 1000 plan because mine is expiring this month. The rep offered to continue my $20 off for 12 months and also waive my equipment fee (no expiration date). From the way it sounded, this $10 off ongoing equipment fee promotion started this month. Previously, I was paying $39.99 (bundled) + $10 equipment fee and now will pay $39.99 with no equipment fee. Wish I could've gotten the $30 off promo that some have gotten and possibly lowered my price to $29.99 but haven't read of that happening yet. Thanks OP for starting this thread!

Yes, there's definitely an issue with using ATT Fiber to connect to sites in China. It's not DNS, and it doesn't seem to be affecting any other ISP. Either an issue with the last AT&T hop before hitting the Chinese networks, or the GFW is blocking the ATT source IPs.

Thanks for this thread!. Called retentions and csr could only offer $20 off for next month because she said no promotions she could apply. Then I tried facebook messenger and the guy got me $20 off for another year. Seems I get to keep the $20 credit for next month as well. In SF Bay Area.

Bill went up to $80, started with chat than called loyalty department got it down to $49.99, equipment fee wavied. The promo didn't go through so I called back, was able to get $20 off, however they couldn't get me the equipment fee waived even though the last agent claimed to have done it and it was in my account notes (typical att customer service). The agent applied a $120 credit to my account equilivant to $10 a month equipment fee, good enough.

At&t also gives Fiber 1000 customers 25% off Unlimited Wireless plans. Not only did I get my Fiber bill down to $45 because of this thread. I also switched from my Verizon 5GB for $55 to ATT Unlimited Plus for $54.

If you want to save on wireless and ATT has good coverage in your area. I would look into their bundle wireless deals with Fiber as well.

Thanks! Logged into messenger and FB for the first time in years, but it was worth it! Live chat with a rep worked for $20 off in Raleigh. Just asked politely, no need to threaten to leave/etc. AT&T fiber is great!

Been on FB Messenger chat for an hour, three different specialists so far and I've had no reply for the last 20 minutes. Not sure if my experience is typical, but I'll report back on the eventual outcome. Phone may be better.
