It's a modem.
It's not a router.
One ethernet port is completely acceptable.
There is no WiFi emitted.

It is used to connect a separate router, which can then have multiple devices attached.
This can include connecting a switch or hub to provide even more ethernet ports.
The router provides WiFi signal, not the modem.
This modem actually does have additional ethernet ports hidden under a plastic cover, although they're hidden for a reason, and can only be used in special cases.

Of course it has to go on sale now. Waited second half of last year to have this or the Netgear at Costco or the Arris one go on sale but none of them went on sale. Modem died on 12/31 and ended up getting this one locally. Great modem. Haven't had to reboot once since owning it for three months now. Just sucks that I paid full price...

I have to buy one of these as soon as possible as I put in an order to switch to Gig service and don't want to rent a modem. I like Costco return policy and as of last night I planned to purchase the Netgear model for $150. It seems to go on sale a lot and figured they would credit you the difference. I have redcard so I can get this one for $138.50 - any reason to still spend a few extra bucks and get the Netgear? Sorry, being lazy and asking the community rather than looking up reviews etc.

Anyone knows if this works with Optimum service (used to be called Cablevision) in NJ? TIA.

This particular unit only has one ethernet port. Which would make it difficult if you wanted to hardwire anything like a gaming console. So if your only using it based off wifi then this seems like a good deal.

OP, how many times can we use that 10% off coupon?

the term said " Valid one-time use in store only."

but thats wrong when its listed for online too. so i am not sure if its a 1 time use per account or not.

FYI, not accepted by cox business services. I learned the hard way. Good price though. It's nice to see the 3.1 modems prices coming down.

You can check on your ISP's website for approved modems.
