I have a rooftop array with a 2000w emergency plug. On a 8kw array, it is pretty hard to not pull 2kw, even when it is really cloudy. I'm thinking this thing can just be in line to that.
This is pretty good quality machine, my uncle has two of them with regular use. They were a brand name and this particular model began in an indiegogo campaign. They may be lowering price because they are about to launch a larger EP500 model on kickstarter in four days. It will be very popular, but the price is too rich for my blood.
Debating whether to bite at this one. It can even charge a Tesla for a few emergency miles.

8kw solar array? That'll almost definitely be over the voltage this can accept
Hydrogen generators for fuel cell storage is still more expensive. But the problem is still inputs for abnormal scenarios where the grid stops working. Starlink is getting operational but having electricity being shot down has been a thought of mine. It can be done with drone assistance.
lol Will's views have changed over the months AC200 was out. As he didnt get any more affiliate sales from it and he wanted to talk up his own DIY kit for sale.
its amazing, love love love mine. but really depends on what you are looking for and how you plan to use it.
I use it when i go on fishing trips and sleep in my truck or tent. plenty of power for an entire weekend without having to top it up with solar/power. runs my fridge for the entire weekend with tons of power left.
Except when there is no power at the gas stations. Texas went several days without any power and that means the gas stations didn't have power either, so no gas. If you run out of gas ion day two or three, what do you do then? Generators are just one step, now days you need a second source that can convert solar. I think we have to upgrade our plans now that solar power more available with units like these. That's my logic anyway.
Lol, you do realize batteries severely underperform in cold weather, right?
