I got a Powerbot 7040 for $180 back in 2018. Ended up returning it and getting a Botvac. The vision system on the Powerbot only works if the room is lit. If you intend to run the vac at night this is an issue as it cannot see the ceiling to "map" the room and it will roam around aimlessly. My use is 90% hardwood and 10% area rug. I would not recommend the Powerbot even at this price considering other vacs with superior performance are available at the same price point.
I like the frequently bought together banner:
This and 2 fridges for 6 grand...lol
Lidar is the present and future for these bots. I would not recommend spending more than $150 on any robovac without laser navigation. Virtual boundary lines, whole house mapping, and not running into $}{¡+ throughout the house. That is what robovaccing should be.

Doesn't Neato brand do that? I have a Neato D3 and going to see how it goes, got it super cheap. If I bought one new, I think your advice is worth taking since you will be using it for awhile. What do you think of the roborock series?

I have used Roomba and others over the past 10+ years. I like Samsung ones better. They actually suck and do better mapping.
