No firebox but I have the 4k firestick and tivo. The tivo takes getting use to at first but I prefer it. It has the consistency of the firestick and app ranges of roku. I like the remote better too. They are about the same though overall
I agree that this does have a learning curve associated with it and I think that's where people get frustrated with it. However, I prefer it now compared to my Roku. None of these steamers are perfect and for this price I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
For $12 more isn't the Google TV with Chromecast a better option. I don't this thing will get much in terms of long term software updates. Also I believe the Google TV has a better processor

They are about the same performance wise, but updates are better on google tv I presume.. Can't go wrong with either.
Been using it for months now. Chromecast works well on most app. Gave Fire Stick HD to my mother in law.
One of the best remote for sub $50 stick out there - Easily programable via Button Mapper. Wolf Launcher works well. Can run emu from NES up to PSP (not all games - def not GOW) just fine. Switch to 2A adapter if you are planning to use a USB-C stick as mine kept restarting on a daily basis prior to switching the adapter to a 2A one. Sideload is a breeze via ADB command from a computer or App2Fire from your phone. nPlayer to play video directly from Cloud Storage - works with Google Drive quite well so no need to set up Plex server.
Can't get it to working with Mouse Toggle so I just use "Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse" from android phone instead. Very much needed if you plan to sideload Fios TV app.
Not all apps are available - No Apple TV, no Tennis Channel, no BeinSports.

remote is much better than the fire stick remote. these are great for bedroom tvs, etc. (still use the nvidia shield in the main room)
but a great value thanks to a usb-c port.
