I just got flak for the Galaga I just bought for $40 because of SD. No way I can now sneak in SW.

Thanks OP! Take this rep I don't need it anymore. I just got this delivered a couple of days ago from Walmart. I got it for $449.99 thanks to your post Walmart gave me a price adjustment so I now got it for $399.99. I haven't opened it yet, but will probably put it together tomorrow. Thanks again!

How would you emulate the controller?

I wouldn't even try to emulate this. There was a later version of the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade that was much better. As far as I know, this one on this machine is the original from 1984.

Here is video of the trilogy that came out in 1998 [youtu.be].
If they ever make a cabinet of SW Trilogy Arcade I'll consider buying it.

The original Star Wars Arcade doesn't hold up at all and gets boring really quick.

To give them the benefit of the doubt its worth more than $150, I would probably say $200 on the minimum. There is probably $150 in wood alone here. I hope they used real wood and not fiber board for everything.

Speaking of which anyone know what the listed weight limit is? Being a 270lb gorilla I am weary of this and its long term durability. Still not worth it for me for $400 cause its only 3 games, but it is cool I will give it that.
It's not real wood, ha ha.

Yeah I figured the cab would be fiber board, but for the bench I was hopeful they would not cheap out and use real wood.

Not worth it. The actual ROM is free, so you're paying for the cabinet. Plus they have the ugly corner dots on the screen in this one that serve no purpose. They just look like dead pixels.
The ROM is still copyright protected. So although you may be able to obtain it and thousands of other ROMs for free, that work is still protected, and not FREE. There's a major difference there. I'm sure some of that cost pays for the licensing of those 3 games.

1984 me would have lost his mind at being able to own this but these days you can live the dream with a PSVR and Star Wars Squadrons and it's better than this for a bit more money

Has anyone been able to verify(maybe you own it and could help me out?) the actual dimensions of the length AFTER the bench is attached? I need to know very specific measurements and can't seem to find the info of what the true length is after attaching them together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Arcade/MAME builder here. These are analog controls, so you'd need an analog joystick, and they don't make one for this game with the proprietary control yoke. I play this game with my arcade but use my trackball to control the steering.

I play it on my arcade cab all the time. You need both an analog joystick (or you can control with a trackball), and the supermodel emulator to run it, as it's a sega model 2 system. It's worth all the BS it takes to get it running right.

Does anyone know if the seated version is the same as the upright but without the riser. So if I buy a riser and then put this on top of it will it become an upright with a riser?
I just watched a review. It is the upright and a separate seat.

I can't believe they're selling this so cheap I'm going to buy one right now I'm going to take the seat and throw it in the trash and plop this thing on top of one of the risers

This is partially correct. If I purchased a digital copy of something in the past, I am legally allowed to maintain a copy in order to preserve my purchase, as long as I don't directly infringe on the rights of whoever holds the copyright or try to illegally distribute it.

You can still emulate the 32x version of it. Here is a side-by-side comparison [youtube.com].
