Not as good as the previous Lowes deal, but I gd missed out on that, so this is the next best thing, with "free" installation (they make you buy required parts).

Absolutely. No idea how anyone could prefer something with all this useless digital garbage to an analog tank like SQ lol

Ditto, Parents old school Maytag washer is going strong for 23 years but my GF's LG Dryer had the electronic control module for the display ($250) replaced in 4th year and washer's agitator assembly ($175) replaced in 10th year.

Better to buy from Costco when they have a sale. Free delivery, install, and haul away, as well as 7 years of full warranty coverage if you purchase it on the Costco card along with the $70 warranty extension. You'll get a machine that will clean better, is much more efficient, is quieter, and is gentler on clothes than any vintage Speed Queen.

I replaced my 25 year old Speed Queen with an LG a few months ago and it was immediately clear that the LG does a better job at its task than the SQ. It's worth any potential longevity tradeoff to me.

I don't have a Costco membership, nor does anybody I know. Do you mind checking the prices of the set on Costco for me, please?

I bought a LG Wm3600HWA last December. On some cycles like "Bedding," the washer won't spin right and there'll be standing water at the bottom of the tub at the end of the cycle. So there's an open ticket on that. They're gonna replace the master control panel. I spent 3 weeks with LG support and development team troubleshooting the Wi-Fi. Now the conclusion is, it needs replacing too. I'm really regretting making that purchase. I wish I had bought a Maytag.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Breaks fast and LG will give you *endless* runaround when you try to use the warranty.

I'm seeing online the Allstate extra 3 years for $174.99. Which warranty is $70?

Interesting - it seems that Allstate has purchased Squaretrade, which Costco used to offer, and was $70 per unit ($140 total) when I bought my units. I believe my breakdown was $1640 for a LG 3900 washer and gas dryer and warranty. Looks like the warranty price has gone up a bit since then.
