I have always bought $1,000, pretty painless. You do have to fill out some forms when you purchase large denomination cards. At least at my Simon. I am sure that return method you noted has been well exploited by now. Might work...
Yeah I might consider going that route. I do have to go to the customer service area of a Simon mall and fill out some forms in order to purchase the gift cards with high denominations, right? Thanks and repped!

How to get the card shipped expedited ? What number to call. Do they charge shipping for it?
If you're applying at the branch, you could ask them to expedite it. There was no fee. It was an easy process. Throughout this thread, there were others that called an 800 number and Chase expedited their card as well. Can't recall the number though.

The prior post noted that you get hit twice with the AF (both for CSP and CSR) otherwise.
Isn't this thread about getting the sign-up bonus of 80k? I suppose you were talking about something else.

Yeah, but after getting 80k CSP bonus I would prefer to get/convert to CSR because CSR is the better card (and worth the $550 fee).

Question is how to do that while minimizing costs.

staples $200 gift card no fee this week.
Checked 3 staples, they had 0 of those. Bunch of the $100 versions though.

Ok I understand now, my bad for the initial misinterpretation.

1- which card is better if you're spending around $8K on travel and dining per year?

2- how much limit can I expect with 100K+ income and excellent credit score?

The other week I tried to buy a fridge at Lowe's. Card declined. So I call the number on the back and got directed to their fraud department which was not open. I called around 7:30 pm pacific time on a Thursday.

First time in my life encountering a card that didn't have a REAL 24hr line. Had to wait till the next day to get my card unblocked and try the purchase again.

Needless to say, I am not going to keep the card after a year. Not being able to reach a person is unacceptable in 2021.
same here, called but the office was closed last night and this morning. What are the hours for that dept?

I applied CSR on Jan 2017, got bonus on April 2017. Converted to Chase Freedom one year later.
I visited my local branch but the banker said that upon checking throuth their system, she was not able to submit my application.
I can apply by myself, but need to pay annual fee.

It depends on how you value the credits and benefits. Try this calculator: https://www.asksebby.com/credit-c...calculator

Long term, you might also consider the AMEX Platinum or Gold (or both).

Does the original transactions will be considered towards spending amounts if the original transaction amounts were refunded? I recently bought flight ticket but had to cancel it, amount is already credited to my account but in the promotion, spent limit still included that transaction. Please suggest. Thanks

I want the CSR. Since CSR has 60,000 bonus and CSP has 80,000, should I apply for CSP and as soon as I get the bonus ask to upgrade? I figure I may have to pay both annual fees, but that's just $95 more than the CSR annual fee and I get 20,000 ($300) more in points. Make sense?
