It will cover it easily, you'll have 5ghz at full bars throughout, unless there's some super thick walls.

That said, I am returning this router. Had it for about a month and it started emitting a sizzling buzz. Some google search shows this has happened with some other netgear routers. I sat about 5 feet away from mine and the sound was faint but just enough to annoy the crap out of me. Did not seem to impact performance but likely not a good sign for the future of it.

It is costco though, so easy returns and its a great price. If i hadn't already ordered a different router I'd likely give it one more shot.

good price...

I'm 99% sure that my cat will end up sleeping on it. (since routers do get warm)

Awesome router. I've been using it for about 9 months and it's resolved all of my wifi issues in my house.

What did you order to replace this one?

Well my case is slightly particular so this won't be very helpful to anyone comparison shopping but i got the tp-link AX21 deal posted earlier ($90/amazon)
The wifi speeds are considerably worse 50 at 2.4 / 250-300 on 5. I'm on fiber.
Range is still decent.

However we decided recently to just run some cat6 cable to the home office anyway, and our wifi devices do fine enough with the speeds offered. So for my current needs the AX21 is fine enough and if my needs change I'll grab a wifi 6e router down the road and can set this one up for the in-laws without having quite as much invested into it.

I do also appreciate that it is much less bulky!

Wonder if it has smb2 or smb3 for nas. I have Asus rt-n66r with 2nd router upstairs. Does this mean I can clean up them cluttering cables? Is the technology bad for sleep hygiene?

is this better than WRT3200ACM linksys? ive had no issues with mine for 4-5 years now. Restart it like once a year, runs pretty smooth. but I have like 40 devices on it, including 5 smart tv's, streaming apple devices, MacBooks, ps5's and ps4's and computers via wifi.

im always up for beefing up my router ability, I am having fiber optic installed next month, a new company called metro net. I am with spectrum now, so I guess I won't be able to use my Motorola modem anymore but did indicate I can still use a personal router.

Mine is going back, because I did not see a difference in coverage than my $50 Asus router from Newegg. Disappointed.
