It will add to the cart for a higher price like $349.98. Then it will add more as it incorrectly calculates your local tax. Then complete the sale at the higher price.
You will see a pre-charge on whatever card you used for like $330. Also incorrect! But when they ship it, usually the same day, the total will come out to $299.99 + your local tax.
I know this works because both me and a friend of mine ordered this and both had the exact same results. I also talked with GoPro customer support who confirmed that there is a problem with the ordering system.

My original joke was about when Apple Card first came out they had issue accessing the credit history, so many users, even with good history, only got $250 credit line.
But yours makes more sense, change the Apple Card number soon after it ships, or do something similar with privacy card.
