Great price. Bought one from dwr last year. If you are looking for the classic look, you will need to purchase the black MCL leather from dwr. If you're also over 6ft tall, you need the tall version. This is the full grain leather, standard height

It's an iconic chair that is obscenely expensive for what it is. I bought mine lightly used off craigslist for 2250. I recommend shopping around first.

I still feel regret for spending that much lol.

Apes don't need fancy chairs. Besides, I don't think this will fit well in rockets.

Do you have the eBay link? Thanks.
Unfortunately, my seller doesn't have them in stock any longer. I bought it last year. I'm sure if you search around you can find another seller with a similar quality model.

What's so great about it? Is it really that comfortable or well made?

Chairs shouldn't hold their value, but the HM Eames does. Just do some basic research and you'll know you're getting a piece of true Americana. I wish they had the tall option and I would pull the trigger. I'll be waiting until May when DWR told me they would be going on sale again.

Great chair at a decent price. Owned one for years. Shame they don't have the tall version of this.

Funny story... a local Salvation Army Thrift Shop is one of my favorite spots to check out every week or two. I planned to meet my two sons and their mom there one weekend for the handoff. A guy walks in carrying a cool looking ottoman and asks "can I donate this here?" just as my son walks up. The store manager says yes, so I ask if I can buy it? He says sure, how about $10? I say sold and tell my son to sit on it as I run out the door after the guy. I ask if he has the chair that goes with it? It was in the back of his Lexus SUV... it broke the night before and is on it's way to the dump! I told him I would take it off his hands and he was happy to let me do so.

Turns out it was a mid 60's version of this iconic chair. I have the ottoman in our living room. I have quotes for $500-$1000 to repair the chair someday. I am happy to enjoy the ottoman as a $10 functional conversation piece in my living room until the day I can justify spending the money to restore the rest of this beautiful piece of furniture.

If you can afford one, their style and comfort has stood the test of time and will continue to do so.
