Great price. Bought one from dwr last year. If you are looking for the classic look, you will need to purchase the black MCL leather from dwr. If you're also over 6ft tall, you need the tall version. This is the full grain leather, standard height

It's an iconic chair that is obscenely expensive for what it is. I bought mine lightly used off craigslist for 2250. I recommend shopping around first.

I still feel regret for spending that much lol.

because some people have incomes to pay for it. They are cool looking and psychologists with glasses and pipes reading books or seeing patients on them made them popular. I use the Aeron chairs and I was able to justify a couple of those in the office, but they are task chairs and used daily for hours. This is more of a statement piece, nice furniture...I would feel guilt buying one.
They look super cool, so i would get a copy with gray cloth if I really wanted one. These are like must haves for someone setting up their Mid century mod home decor, but they are a bit played out...still great piece.

Does anyone know how the 90 day returns policy works for this? Does it have to be unboxed or can we try it at home and decide whether it's worth the price? If we need to return it, do we just take it back to the store opened up?

Don't buy this chair, there's no mention of the type of foam it uses. At this price I would expect high density 2lb+ or latex foam. I don't see the description on that. Plywood on a 5k chair? This chair is worth 2k, not 5k....
