Great price. Bought one from dwr last year. If you are looking for the classic look, you will need to purchase the black MCL leather from dwr. If you're also over 6ft tall, you need the tall version. This is the full grain leather, standard height
It's an iconic chair that is obscenely expensive for what it is. I bought mine lightly used off craigslist for 2250. I recommend shopping around first.

I still feel regret for spending that much lol.
Sales man slaps chair, "Molded Plywood Technology."

There's a sucker born every minute! I need to get into the overpriced chair business it looks like.

Good luck with that.

My first three cars combined didn't cost that much. Yikes...
Yea, same here all 3 combined through high school and college and after that didn't cost me that much. I'll be 36 in a few months, so talking only about 15-20 years ago.

Why are people so ignorant? Ramen noodles, Campbell's soup, organic soups, Noodles and Company and fine dining soups are all things, each with price points and features similar but different and they are all soups and no one bats an eye. But when it comes to furniture, everyone is suddenly an economic genius, materials scientist or business expert and thinks their opinion has value. A Rolex keeps time just like a GShock but both brands serve their markets and will for decades....same for disposable chairs from *.store and heritage chairs from Herman Miller.

Chairs shouldn't hold their value, but the HM Eames does. Just do some basic research and you'll know you're getting a piece of true Americana. I wish they had the tall option and I would pull the trigger. I'll be waiting until May when DWR told me they would be going on sale again.
It may be a true piece of Americana, but it sure is ugly. To me anyway.

You should try the all-lead version. It's 100% metal.

You do realize that only the battery on the Tesla dies in 10 years, which can be replaced? All batteries have an expiration date. The Tesla is fueled by a battery that you may have to replace in 10 years while the normal car battery last 2 years but is fueled by gas. I don't own one but I think you should Google it before shooting of the term schmuck.
If there's anything Fegelah knows backward & forward, it's what it feels like to be a schmuck.

So it's like buying tulip bulbs or crApple products.

If it didn't look like complete ass, then maybe. I just worry that a lot of this stuff is only appealing to people because of the brand name on it.

It's not a bad chair, just a highly overrated and overpriced chair. Several friends have them and never have I sat in it and said man, I have to have this. To me it's the Rolex of furniture, for the person with a little money that doesn't know anything about furniture or design but wants people to think they are rich and sophisticated.

"Hold their value"? If I bought this and placed it in our garage sale next month, it would fetch about $80. No one around us would pay $1000's for a chair.Peace
