Great price. Bought one from dwr last year. If you are looking for the classic look, you will need to purchase the black MCL leather from dwr. If you're also over 6ft tall, you need the tall version. This is the full grain leather, standard height

It's an iconic chair that is obscenely expensive for what it is. I bought mine lightly used off craigslist for 2250. I recommend shopping around first.

I still feel regret for spending that much lol.

If you're thinking about buying an Eames Lounge from Costo, why? Both Herman Miller and DWR have 20-25% off everything Eames at least once each month, OR you could buy an amazing vintage example from someone like me or one of the many other small businesses in this great nation for closer to $3500.

It's well made, sure, but it's not insanely durable or anything. It'll last forever if properly cared for in the sense that the foam won't crush, the leather won't be crack, etc. The appeal is the beauty. I find it rather comfortable, but there are more versatile chairs in that regard, since this one doesn't recline.

Really, the appeal is the look. The reason I wouldn't get a fake is that you don't know if the quality of the materials is up to par, and they're still expensive.

These are great chairs. But they're very easily reproduced for a couple hundred dollars if you don't care about the authenticity.
