We have a few of these that we picked up last summer for this price, and quickly realized they were less than adequate. Unless you're floating in a standing lake, I'd advise to get the Intex River Run instead. The River Run could be found on amazon for $18 last summer and is light years better: larger, stronger, harder to flip or fall out of, handles, backrest, and most importantly it has a bottom. Throw a lifejacket down into the mesh bottom, and now you won't smack every shallow rock you pass.

I can already envision the tattered ribbons of these "river" tubes blowing in the breeze along my local river.

No handles, no cup holders...no fun. Seriously though, these don't look like river tubes or creek tubes, they look like pool toys.

Awesome! Thanks for the reminder to buy these off season. By summertime, these are sold out everywhere and often 4-5x the price.

Do I know what I would do with these? Absolutely not. Am I in for 2? Absolutely.

They're at least 40 dollars a tube now. Will keep an eye out, in the mean time will get these.
