Aside from mods, texture quality, and frame-rate, this is as complete a package as one needs to experience the full campaign. All of the main story content is here, but the game is missing the prequel DLC that came out very last for this game on PC, the Tactical Legacy Pack. I can't speak to how well the controls translate on switch, but mechanically this is an all time favorite of mine. If you need an offline, portable way to play one of the best turn-based strategy games of all time, this is it. It's on sale on steam now too, for a bit more.

Debating should I pay the extra $10 to get it on xbox or Switch version good enough.

Great game. Plays fine on switch. It's doable on my lite but looks better when it's on my TV.

I read someone say a while ago that the sniper class mechanics is broken on the Switch version. Is that still true or has that been patched?

I recommend Switch version. I'm not big on playing my Switch in handheld mode, but this is the perfect game for handheld mode (although also great to play docked).

I was a huge fan of the original DoS version so when I read the product manager for the development on the updated versions made his devs play the original while he sadistically watched them all get their teams killed on the first mission I knew I was in. Not as hard as the original DoS versions but still hard as hell and annoying in a good way like the classic. If you haven't played XCOM and are a bit of a gaming masochist then this is it for some portable pain.

Never tried the series, but it looks like Front Mission 3 & 4, a tactical role playing kinda gameplay. Can anyone confirm??

If so, I might be sold for $15.

I did a whole playthrough handheld and had a great time. As long as you're a patient with loading times this is a great experience, and the text and graphics were very readable even on the handheld screen.
