Thanks, daisybeetle! I purchased a couple pairs of the Perry Ellis Portfolio Slim Fit Flat Front No-Iron Dress Pants, partially because I haven't used Slickdeals Cashback and was curious to try it out.

Take care,
Tofu Vic

Perry Ellis is garbage in my experience. 3 shirts all ripped at the elbow within a year. 3 pairs of Pants all coming undone at the hem.

Any brand recommendations for slim fit dress pants? I have dress pants of multiple brands ranging from $15 to $300 per pair, and they're all similar enough that I haven't really cared enough to figure out which I like most.

Thank you,
Tofu Vic

I try to stay under $20. I actually really like the Greg Norman travel pants at Costco. They are a slimmer fit even if they don't say it, but not skinny so my thunder thighs still breathe. They are looser than my perry Ellis slims though

Just wanted to say hello and add a quick note around the Slickdeals Rewards component of this post!

We're excited to have our users continue to help us test the Slickdeals Rewards Program! A few things to keep in mind:
  • Slickdeals Rewards is a Beta. This means there could be some delays in how quickly you see orders / are able to cash out reward points, but this is temporary as we keep improving our systems! We want everybody to win and be rewarded as awesome SD users! If you're missing information after placing your order - wait a few days and it will likely show up. Submit a support ticket for Slickdeals Rewards if it's been longer than a week or two and you still don't see anything
  • Based on lots of feedback, we're working on speeding up payout of points. This is a balance - we won't be able to speed up where we make points available before a return window is closed, but are trying to pay out as quickly as possible after that in the coming month.
  • We are revamping our Rewards / Redemption Portal (https://loyalty.slickdeals.net) to make things easier to understand - this will be coming out in about a month. We're also adding the ability to login with Google or Facebook in the next couple weeks!
  • We are working on a way in the next few months to surface the best Offers on a page where you can go to see what's got the best cashback rates in SD Rewards. This is going to make it WAY easier to find stuff that's eligible for cashback if you're looking to sweeten any deals
  • Overall, the more people who help us test this program, the more we can improve how it works. In addition, the more users we have, the more likely it is to get merchants to give us great cashback rates, so our goal is to keep growing our program while also making it a little better every day for you, our users!

How about you work on getting me my points from November?

Tout all these new features without doing the basics like getting people's points into their accounts.

Really...why are all of these plaid pants? Is this a thing now? I just want some classic black or dark gray slacks. I don't want plaid designs all over them. Maybe that's too much to ask from these fancy designers. LMAO

Don't bother. Perry Ellis may have some of the worst fits I've ever tried...goes for both their dress shirts and pants. I used to buy them for work because they were cheap but that was the only perk.

Banana republic makes some decent dress pants that I buy when they are on sale for 50% off...I'm sure there are better values out there and someone else can probably chime in better

my experience is the opposite, perry ellis has been my "go to" brand for dress pants for years, and they accomodate my ever-expanding waistline

At the risk of sounding like an ass, what age do you have to be pushing to wear any of these? Plaid, checkered, tartan, and red-brown colored dress pants I have never seen worn by anyone I've ever worked with. They truly look like funny golf pants for 70 year olds that were made into full length pants.

I'm not familiar with the terminology, what is modern fit? A euphemism for skinny fit?

So modern fit is between classic and slim fit.

Classic being loose, not so tapered or contoured to your body silhouette, and extra fabric "package" you have to carry. A fit or slim body in classic would look like on hangers in closet. Old fashioned men or bulky out of shape men wear this.

slim fit being more confining, less fabric used thus not much hanging loose fabric-neither in belly area nor in pants length. Contoured to body anatomy accentuating body curves. Looks preppy, polished. May be ideal for right size body with well balanced weight distribution from neck to feet. Extremely thin body may look like a stick. While out of shape with heavy baggage individuals would look like chicken on drumsticks. Could be uncomfortable due to 'confining" so elastic/spandex mix fabric is recommended. Mostly european men wear this. North American men with gangsta personality will look out of place in it, and "dude" kinda mindset may not like this.

(Skinny fit is extreme version of slim fit, was popular little time ago among mostly young adults or Asians) but dont go for it. It's a terrible look. Just about anybody would be Like a chicken on drumsticks

Modern fit, my favorite is between classic and slim fit. If someone is not too much out of shape, not carrying much sandbag, modern fit with (stretch fit) will make him look good. If someone is thin like stick, modern fit will make him look good, less of a stick. A must have for every fit man, cant go wrong with this for the most part
