I pre-ordered this for my son at Best Buy and have to say this headset not only sounds awesome, the volume and mixer controls are absolute brilliant. I opted for Best Buy for the $25 2 year replacement plan, but Costco should have an excellent return plan as well. Think about this when buying one!

Does this work well connected to a PC that you know of? Wondering if this could be nice for a WFH headset. I currently use a pair of bose noise canceling that work well, but I like the boom mic on this and I bet the voice quality/isolation is better.

Someone care to order this for a brother?
For sure, I would but both of my brothers play on PS4 so it wouldn't work for them.

FYI Chase Freedom cards have 5% cashback on wholesale clubs until March 31, which would bring this down closer to $90.

I previously had the Arctis 9X, so not the 7, but close enough. So some quick comparisons, I've only had the headset for 4 days, so I need to use it more. Anyways, the big reason I jumped ship was the Arctis didn't fit/feel well on my head/ears. I didn't like the snowboarder strap design. Also the cans/earcups themselves just didn't feel great. Finally, the dials on both cans to control overall volume and game/chat volume were small and not super easy to dial in.

The pros, the Arctis 9X had a GREAT mic, as soon as I used the MS headset, my friends could tell the difference. They said I sounded tinny, and they definitely preferred the Arctis mic. Also, the Arctis mics are known to be the best, the same noise reducing technology that aircraft carrier workers use. At least I think that's what I remember reading about. Also, the mute button, I liked it, easy to use, and the mic could be extended in and out.

So there are the pros and cons with the Arctis.

Now for the MS headset. way more comfortable, one of the more comfortable headsets I've worn, but also bear in mind, this is personal preference.

I don't like the mic being stationary. As in, the arm bends, but it doesn't extended in and out. I like being able to hide the mic into the earcan. Next, the earcan each is the dial to control the volume. So both cans control the volumes, much easier to control than Arctis. Mute button is underneath the mic arm, it works, but prefer Arctis.

Finally, I also own the Dolby Atmos app, the MS comes with a trial, but I've been using the Atmos app for the Arctis and now the MS.

With regards to hearing footsteps and so forth, I think the Arctis is slightly better, but not double.

In the end, I like the MS better, if just for the comfort sake, but overall package, price, and everything, it cannot be beat.

Also, just to inform those who are reading this, I've owned Turtle Beach, Astro, previous MS headset, Arctis, and Razer headsets. I've tried and used MANY.

I haven't found the end-all, be all yet. Lots of people say Arctis 9X, but again, the fit is an issue for me. If fit sucks, I don't care how good the audio is. Finally, to update Arctis, it needs a computer. The MS headset, does it connected to the xbox. Just one extra step I like that I save.

I find it more annoying I can't adjust the thing on my head and have to take it off and guess. I understand the feature but it's more annoying to than useful
