If you're running your oil for 7500-10k miles I would also recommend changing your oil filter about half way through, especially if it's a cheaper filter. If the filter gets dirty enough it's gonna open the bypass valve and circulate dirty oil through the engine. A quality oil may be stable up to 10k miles before breaking down but that doesn't matter if the oil is dirty.
It seems like oil filters have gotten smaller. The stock size "048" filter on my '07 Silverado is only around 3" x 3" (the same size as the 25hp Koehler engine on my lawn mower). There's no way I trust a filter that small to go 7500-10k miles. I changed the "048" filter around every 3k miles regardless of when I changed the oil.
I haven't used an "048" in a long time. I use the "063" size filter which is almost twice as long (around 5" long) and it fits a GM 5.3L perfectly, the bottom of the filter doesn't go below the oil pan. I change that one at around 5k miles.
Between the TX weather disaster and gas companies having low demand during lockdown (low demand = low prices) the gas companies are making up for lost revenue.

During the lockdown of the previous year, oil prices were very low, supply was good, and demand was low so prices sank. When oil supplies are low, prices will rise (which we see every day here in California) as there is more demand. So yes, more demand typically means higher prices if supply doesn't also increase.
