So, 20% off. Practically the same sale, with the same sets, as last week, just reworked.
Sure, if you want to pay $60 and then save $4 on a $10 set... Your best bet is to get two items of the same price or just wait for 20% off a single item. Stores will always charge full price for the most expensive item and discount the one of lower value.

Looks like they added more sets. I don't believe these newer Lego Super Mario sets were in that sale. I do recall seeing some of them, like "Pokey" which are generally cheaper at walmart on any given day (approx $16).

Yes some of these were not in the 20% sale last week

Comparing this deal with 20% off deal, I would prefer 20% off deal as I have a choice to buy an item of different prices.

It could be lower than 20% off, if you don't buy the same priced items then it's less than 20%, and if you want only one thing (or particular items) you may be 'forced' to buy things you don't want and then you ultimately spend more money on what you do want. Really not a big fan of these BOGO type deals Target does, or equally worse "Spend $100 and get a $20 gift card"

I assume too that both items must be part of the sale, and you couldn't buy one that wasn't at full price and expect the one that was part of the sale at 40% off.

Do they refund you the new set minus 20%? Or do they take away the full 40% discount that you got? Pretty interesting way to fight the system if it's the former.

I think the receipt will reflect a prorated share of the discount to prevent this

This is actually the best deal of the lot. Already 20% off plus another 20% and 5% with red card. Works out to $25 a piece with tax.
