I bought one. As far as I can tell this is the first robot vacuum that will lift its mop up when going on carpet. Other robot vacuums claim that they can mop and vacuum at the same time, but none of them can go on carpet when they have the mop attached. Other mop/vacuum robots can only mop and vacuum hard floors. If you want to vacuum the carpet, you have to remove the mop attachment.
I am assuming this Roborock s7 is using the same navigation system as its other models that have excellent reviews. If you start to go down the rabbit role of robot vacuums, Vacuum Wars does great video reviews for robot vacuums. Here is the video for all the Roborock models (minus this one). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYQlHA9u8Ic.
What made me buy this one was the only other option to get a mop and robot setup is to get 2 separate robots. I avoided that because it seems to fairly more expensive, and the mop robots have the same avoid carpet feature which doesn't allow it to move to a room and mop if you have a carpet in the way.
Edit: They are planning on releasing a dock station that will empty the dust bin for the s7 in the future that can be bought separately (no eta I think).
Roborock really needs to make a docking station with the empty feature. It's a game changer.
I have to empty my D4 every few days, whereas my S9+ docks and empties daily, and I replace the bag like once every 5-6 months.
It doesn't even need to be included, just an option.

The S7 does not have the same navigation as the S6 MaxV. The S7 is lacking the stereo vision cameras and artificial intelligence processing. I'm hoping they come out with an S7 MaxV at some point and up the size of the water tank. On larger houses its just too small of a tank. The mopping on the S6 MaxV is so so at best. The pad doesn't make good surface contact with the floor so it's a bit streaky (needs some more weight over it!).
Here is a nice comparison video[youtube.com] of the s7 with the s5 max and s6 maxv. I was planning on upgrading from the s5 max to the s7 but decided against it after watching this video. To me it doesn't seem as big of an upgrade as I was expecting.
I was able to place the order on 03/24 early morning ($599) but got an e-mail today from Amazon that it was delayed until 04/24. What a bummer. I ordered it from Amazon Prime. I think there may be some mfg issues. This is very disappointing as the launch was 03/24 and it sold out very fast.

Anyone that ordered in the same situation?
I ordered one in the morning as well. Still says shipping April 6th.
I suspect they got Vslammed with orders. I received a message from Roborock asking about availability. They said they were sold out and they will have what they called a makeup purchase at the end of April.
