Thanks OP. I was just in the market for this. I purchased product #21958. I have never purchased a Monoprice TV mount before. Hopefully its decent quality.

anyone actually used one of these with LG oled? The mount is really weird and I'm a little scared to buy one

Monoprice is a super reliable brand. I just bought this one for my 65" LG CX. These are actually pretty standard mounts. Not sure why you consider it weird.

I did research on mono wall mounts 1yr ago when I was planning to mount mine. They seem to get great reviews, (couldn't find a lot on long term use of the pop out ones though). Main thing was ensuring they are screwed into studs or at least some and then add a few toggle like strong dry walls anchors.

'In the lower full-motion price range, the Monoprice 8588, 21950, and 40107 all have profiles of over 3 inches. The company's 21961 EZ Series model is not UL-approved.'- wc/NYT

FS, that is the main deterrent to buying MP products: Shipping costs are exorbitant otherwise.
Quality in everything I've bought from them(cabling, chargers, sous vide, strips) is excellent and if I ran a business, this where I would buy because 'in general, Monoprice warrants (a) cables and wall mounts for life'.
The most expensive and the least expensive mounts in this offer have the lifetime guarantee. Can't speak to their customer service because I've never had to deal with them in that regard...

Because the oled TV mounts super low on the TV, and the mount will stick out at the bottom, or nor work at all.

Ah, I see what you're saying. My dad is using a MP branded mount for his Sony A9 OLED with no issues. The VESA mount still holds standard, even on the placement on OLEDs.

Didn't know this: Is it brand specific or are all OLED TV's like this?

I don't think you can generalize that way. It'll depend on the specific model of TV, so you'll have to check. Some are centered while others will be higher or lower, even if they're made by the same manufacturer.

Anyhow, in for a few for my computer monitors. Wall mounting will solve my desk space issue without needing to spend a fortune on monitor arms. Smilie

The whole point of the oled is that it is super thin and has all the "guts" at the bottom. But yeah, obviously ymmv, and those with an oled know what they have.
