You can actually change the color. Mine came with Alienware control software installed. The LED can change to a wide variety of colors and pulsating or solid patterns, etc. Pretty cool.

It can be either blue or red.

Can this computer be case swapped? Like does it have standard power pin outs and usb pin outs that would work with any case? And also power supply is there an adapter for the power supply?

I have an XPS 8940 with a 360w power supply and I believe my PSU is the same one that comes with this deal, yes it has one 6-pin PCIe connector

Add another hard drive. Those aren't in huge demand right now. Can find lots of 1TB sata HDD for $35 - $45

Usually a deal like this is a targeted email to subscribers. They make a bunch at one spec then make them the special to move inventory. It might not make as much money as the full price options but if it keeps you checking their email every time they send it to you it might generate repeat sales.

pretty sure the power supply on this isn't large enough for a 1070. A recommended power supply for a 1070 is 500w and this has a 360w. And these have crappy proprietary slots so you can't just buy a random power supply and put it inside

I know nobody has a time machine but there would/should probably be a better deal between now and September for a gaming desktop in this range, correct? My son wants a gaming desktop but his bday isn't till the end of September. I'm fine with getting him this one now but the wife wants to wait to get him something this expensive I if it isn't a bday or Xmas gift.
