The Cooper Wayfarers are all manufactured in the USA. The 245/55R19 & 245/70R17 and produced in Findlay, Ohio while the 265/70R17 & 275/55R20 are made in Texarkana, AR.

The acquisition does not close until the second half of the year. Today, both companies are operating independently.

They could be a US company but still manufacture in China. I absolutely prefer US manufacturing. The only reason a company manufacturers in China is to cut cost and I don't want cost cutting with something as important as tires even if is it saves a couple of bucks (they never truly pass the savings on to the customer anyway). Case in point, I am currently looking at new camper trailer tires. Goodyear (a US brand) was making some called Goodyear Marathon. They hit the online propaganda train and before they were even out for a year they were known as the best camper trailer tires out there. The problem was, after a couple of years from their release they started exploding and coming apart on highways. They were Goodyear's but they were being manufactured in China. Goodyear quickly dropped that tire and reverted back to making their camper trailer tires in the US. Their current one is called the Endurance and it is made at the same plant that builds big rig tires in the US.

Mine are truck tires (LT) and was referring to the Cooper brand as being very good.
Btw, my local (independent) tire shop charges $12.50 to mount/balance so shop around as the $180. you quote is a royal ripoff.

In my area, Walmart 'Starts' at $17 each for mount and balance, if you bought the tires for them. If you have TPMS, then add $3 to replace the little gaskets. If you want them to dispose of your old tires, that's extra too.
If you bought them elsewhere add $10 per.

If you have nice alloy wheels, don't be surprised if they scratch the crap out of them.

Walmart sells Cooper Discoverer A/T tires pretty cheap. $107 per tire for my SUV (17" tires). They're the same as the A/T3 tires they discontinued, they sell them only to Walmart using the same mould from what I've read.

It really sucks that Goodyear is purchasing Cooper. They push that P.C. garbage and will probably send manufacturing overseas 🙄

Talked to Cooper direct today. The rep didn't know these existed. Got back to me to confirm these are an Amazon special, so all warranty etc. handled by Amazon. These are the equivalent of the Cooper Evolutions' apparently.

Anyone got experience with Amazon warranty on tires etc. ?

I don't, but both these and the ones I referenced at Walmart are the same price at least for my size tire,so compare return policies. Also FWIW returns to Walmart may be easier, as long as they let you return them to a store rather than shipping.

Best price I've ever seen on these. YMMV depending on what size you need
