I have one of these. It works well as a toaster oven. The air fryer function is pretty meh. It's not mentioned anywhere but to use the fryer basket you have to set it on the tray blocking the hot air from the bottom.
Had a refurbished one that lasted about a year before the analog mode selector switch burned out. It appears there is a flaw with the analog version and its switches. The oven gets hot and seems to melt the internals of the switch which renders the unit useless. Good oven, got the digital version now. PS repaired the switch with replacement but it only lasted a few months.
I've been using this for 1.5 years quite frequently. Every week depending on what we have in the fridge. It seems to get hotter than the selected temperature so it's best to compensate. Other than that this thing has been awesome. Frozen fries, tarot tots, etc come out crispy without adding oil. It's extremely fast. Baking a potato is super easy. Baking chicken or foil wrapped ribs is awesome.
I had this one. Not bad at all. That said my new one is better and only 29.99 more.
Please don't thumbs down as I didn't say it was bad. It is a good one. Just not as good as the GE https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-c...Id=6421045
I like mine. I agree that it gets hotter than the dial. I put a thermometer inside it, which registers up to 60 degrees higher, depending on the heating cycle. I've baked many loaves of bananas bread in it. Should be 350, but 290-300 seems to give the best results. The top does get darker than in my old toaster.

But that's not an air fryer like this one. Can't really compare

my understanding is that the bottom heater doesn't even turn on while in air fry mode, so that tray isn't really blocking anything and is just containing the heat from the top heating element.
I bought this model a year ago and I love it. Air frying function works great once you understand how to use it properly. It worked great for a long while, but then like people have mentioned, the function knob started getting stuck. Called them to see what I could do about it, they had me cut the cord, send them a picture, and they sent out a new unit pretty quick. So it seems this is a pretty common issue, which sucks. I regret paying full retail price for it though. If it didn't have any quality issues, it would have been worth it, but I have a feeling the replacement unit is gonna crap out on me sooner or later.

technically, air frying is essentially convection baking.

This isn't an air fryer. It's a toaster oven with a dorky convection setting
