There is a promotion with UNI cables where if you buy cables, you can get their 7 in 1 USB hub and the cable for less than the hub alone, so you basically get paid to get the cable. So, for example, I got the 6 foot USB C to HDMI cable, $11.04

With the hub $23.99

Using the deal, you get both for $23.04, which is 95 cents less than if you bought the hub alone.

I already bought this same hub a couple months ago because another hub that I had did not work with my Macbook Pro/Ultrawide monitor combo, but I had a Uni USB C to HDMI adapter that did so I tried this hub and it also worked fine with the ultrawide monitor. It is also quite compact. I have been pretty happy with it, so at this price I picked one up as a spare.

Watch out — 4K at 30Hz, not 60Hz.

I don't know much about what the offerings are for these hubs normally however yesterday I purchased the below for $20 (after the clickable coupon), basically the same setup BUT provides 100w of charging power as opposed to just 60w. If you did not need this cable, the below item might be a much better purchase.

85W passthrough on that product. 100W - 15W for the hub itself. All of these hubs bury that little detail in the small print.

I don't understand why these are so difficult to find a good fit. I need enough pass thru power. I need two hdmi or dp up to 4k @ 60hz, etc. But each model seems to have some sort of flaw. Just me?

If you have a mac you can't do two 4k@60 through a single USB hub. It needs to be Thunderbolt, which is much more expensive since there's special certification.

Yes you just added the eligible items and the hub to the cart and you'd get the discount. The deal is dead now though.
