This popular deal that went frontpage last month is alive yet again. Total price is $39.97 with free shipping or free in-store pickup at Home Depot. Tool is compatible with the Ryobi ONE+ ecosystem and great for inflating tires and mattresses up to 150psi.

Have to be mindful of the duty cycle, else it will overheat and destroy itself.

Sounds like you didn't read the manual.

Hell yea, good deal. Was $34.99 pickup at my local store. Needed to replace the cheaper ryobi version I bought previously, as I've definitely pushed if too hard and it sounds like it's about to die any time.

Edit: Just picked it up. This thing is awesome. Tons of adapters with adapter storage, deflates tires too. Punch in the PSI and press go. Zip was 78737 here for $34.99 price (Austin)

Used this twice so far to fill up car tires. Works great. Bought a second one. Used to always fill up air at a gas station but this is so much easier.

Thanks, worked for me. My current one from last year is currently dying and is giving off the whining sound of death. I'll RMA that one while using this new one.

How does this version compare to the old one? I've had the old one for many years and love it and use the heck out of it with car tires and kids bike tires, but as I was using mine the other day, I think the Presta valve was stuck on an old bike and it caused the high pressure hose to shoot off of the barb inside the tool and the metal crimp shot across the room! I pushed the hose back on and crimped it best I could but I'm not convinced it'll last (I'm an engineer and couldn't for the life of me figure out what was preventing the back and front plastic pieces from separating after I got all the screws out). I would have added a small hose clamp if I could have accessed it better, and am not convinced a tool malfunction didn't cause my issue to begin with...

Dude, this runs smoking hot and there's a reason you go five minutes on, off. You want 75psi on your bigger tires? Forget it. You want something to blow up bike tires and an inflatable pool, fine. Just realize this isn't a set it and forget it on tires. Portability is nice especially when you're on road trips. Just bring a fresh battery.

Like that it has deflator mode also - good for when I'm changing from summer air to winter air.

I tried to add air to 2 cars (8 tires total) and the motor burned up. This is the second Ryobi air compressor I've had die on me. These are good for filling maybe 1 or 2 tires at most.

From the manual [homedepot-static.com]:

NOTICE:

The inflator is not designed for continuous use. For every ten minutes of inflator use, ten minutes of cool down time is required.
