I used one of these delivery services.....once. of course it was me and a lady friend partying/drinking etc... .....anyway $25 of food ended up being $55. And a tip too....... are these guys on drugs??

To use a coupon? Duh. Works good for chipotle when the coupon actually works. looks like it worked on my account, and shows an expiration of 5/17

that's probably the perfect use for pick up, where you can literally walk in and out with your food, especially if you were going there anyways

Be honest, some places they have marked up about 20-40%, I would never use it for pickup, even if I have Amex credit.

UE for delivery is absolute trash. However, this coupon applies to pickup orders only and if you are smart, you can definitely make this slick (as some restaurants are not marked up (as much) and offer stackable coupons) especially if you live alone and need a quick dinner/lunch for <$10.

What places are you using?? I have never seen a 20% increase. Maybe 5% at most.

Uber eats ramp up $20 in menu for 8pc in my local Popeyes, and gave me a $20 off first time order discount, I downloaded Doordash instead, at least they only ramped up $10....

American Express Platinum also gives us free Uber Pass which gives us even more savings. Most of my deliveries are free + $15 of free food every month.

You don't HAVE to tip anything. You can put whatever dollar amount you want. I usually set it to $0.00 and then based on service I tip in cash.

To be fair there is a small regulatory costs recovery surcharge, I am assuming in most areas.

My region is $0.45. Then taxes. The promo codes also doesn't work on this surcharge or taxes.

After the pandemic everyone is going to be paying the Uber tax. Restaurants I don't think can keep two separate sets of prices. They just raise the price for everybody to pay for the Uber customers. If you are paying cash, and picking your food, you are paying At least 20% in credit card fees and uber subsidies for those who do.
