The green laser is definitely a plus for most when there is a lot of light. For tile work, hanging cabinets, pictures, etc., this would probably be fine for most people that would be using within just a few feet.

Unlike DeWalt's higher priced and more accurate models that we do have in red laser, this model has a locking pendulum that is a plus for travel and a large overblown housing that helps if accidentally dropped. But, with the +/- 1/4" accuracy in 30 feet, there is a lot of competition that may or may not come with a case as this DeWalt does.

Personally, I am going to wait for the more accurate DW088CG [homedepot.com] that I already missed on a daily deal. We have had the same model in the red laser model DW088K [homedepot.com] for several years with no problems. If the OP model was equally accurate to +/- 1/8" in 30 feet that matters more at greater distances, I would buy it today.

Is the only difference between this and pricier laser levels the accuracy? Any notable features missing?

In the DeWalt line that I am more familiar with, even though I have purchased a couple Bosch, this model actually has aspects I like over the more expensive models that I posted in the second paragraph above.

To me, the locking pendulum is a plus when traveling, moving, etc. The higher priced models that are more accurate have held up, but we are careful with them. I have seen this model on job sites and the laser line is a bit thicker than the more expensive models we have, but not so much of a concern at say, 10 feet. The further the distance, the more washed out the laser line becomes and you kind of have to guess at the center.

Is this bright enough for even modest outside daylight?

I have several Bosch laser levels and all of them (even the $49) came with the locking mechanism to keep the pendulum from banging about during transport.

Yes they do.... and unlike the more expensive DeWalt, so does this one. But, no problems with the more expensive DeWalt, so not certain how important the locking pendulum is.

Probably good enough for my usage. Trimming hedges. I have the red one but not bright enough to use anytime other than sunset. Would this be visible at 3-4pm outdoors?
