This game revived my interest in turn-based RPGs.

If you're like me and played a million of them over the years, and because of that you can't stomach another cliched "ragtag band of heroes save the world from evil wizard king" plot, give this a try, it's a total breath of fresh air. The story is engaging and has depth, and when you start to get bored of the turn-based combat, you can take a break and dive into one of the many excellent mini-games or sidequests the game has to offer.

Plus, running around the city just feels excellent if you're playing on Series X and can get the 60fps experience. I rarely fast-travel because the city vibe is so good.

Deal might be dead fast though. Amazon constantly jumping around with the price on this one.

I've tried other Yakuza games in the past and even the spin-off Judgment. Couldn't really get into them any more than a few hours before I got bored. The new turn-based mechanic makes fights fun and not button mashy - which was really boring when you have to fight random groups of thugs quite frequently and have to struggle to get with somewhat clunky character control. This one's great. I'll probably be finishing my first Yakuza game.
