There are several threads about
various clothing deals available at Macy's right now using its VIP code for 25-30% off. There are many other items that are available under this same code and one of them is watches and jewelry.
I did not see anything about the current Macy's sale that was watch or jewelry related.
Macy's is an authorized dealer of Tissot and this sale puts its prices on par with Joma, Amazon, and other reputable online retailers of grey-market TIssot watches. Nothing wrong with those outlets, but they are not authorized dealers and, as such, do not sell Tissot watches complete with a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims are handled with the seller, not Tissot.
Previously, a person would have to weigh paying at or near MSRP and get a warranty or pay 20-30% less and be satisfied with non-Tissot warranty service. This deal nearly eliminates this price gap, but not totally. Also, Macy's doesn't carry every style of Tissot watch, so your favorite style may not be available.
Others can speak to various other channel discounts that may apply. I'm only posting the basic elements of the deal: source and code (VIP). Similarly, others can speak to other brands that fall into this similar situation, as I was only interested in the Tissot brand.
Otherwise the VIP code excludes about every brand that you'll find in a Macy's store. The fine print and exclusions are listed at the bottom of this post.

Exactly. Two thumbs down!
Prior to posting, I did re-read the FAQs and Tips here, also the rules here, and the instructions that precede a new thread posting. In none of those places did I find anything about not posting restricted brands/items from a given coupon code.
It might be helpful to add that, as people like me do read those from time to time to refresh on what is and is not suggested for new threads. Dropping riphamilton's post above verbatim into that FAQ could be quite useful ... even if I'm still bitter about him hitting the game winner against my huskies in 1998.
Again, sorry for the confusion and resulting "spam" this may have caused.
