Picked this up last time it was in sale. I hate to say it, but it is just not fun. The game is a grind and the controls just don't have a great feel. Spend a few extra bucks and buy sonic racing. Even if your kids love cars they are not going to love this game

Picked this up last time it was in sale. I hate to say it, but it is just not fun. The game is a grind and the controls just don't have a great feel. Spend a few extra bucks and buy sonic racing. Even if your kids love cars they are not going to love this game

Raps just for mentioning Sonic racing. Fun for everyone but deep mechanics makes it a satisfying racer. Makes Mario kart looks like old Pole position LOL.

The digital version on PSN goes on sale quite often. I bought it a month ago for something like $7.99.

As far as saying the game sucks, I would have to disagree. This one is quite fun. Of course I think the best racing game in this genre is the Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed.

Played this on switch because my kid loves Lightning McQueen. There's some serious rubberbanding with the AI. Everyone finishes within ~2 seconds of each other. Prepare to make zero mistakes.

Bought this for my kiddo a year ago because of his love of the Cars movies. He played for less than an hour. I played with him some, and the difficulty level seemed too hard for a 5-6 year old which is the age group I was hoping this was targeted to.

We've had this game since 2018 for PS4. My kids are currently 5 & 7 and still play it. They enjoy it and my wife and I enjoy being able to play 4 players split screen with them. It's rare to find a PS4 game that we can all play together so that alone makes it worth it. The game itself is enjoyable, obviously it's not realistic racing but it is fun. I have no idea what this game usually costs but it's definitely worth $10 if you have kids that you want to play a video game with.

I think this is a great game for what it is. If you enjoy the franchise than this is a must play. The racing is fun and it has multiple difficulty levels so gamers of all ages can enjoy.

Some of the above concerns are valid though. If you want to 100% this game, it will take a long time and be very very difficult. There are time trials which require you to race perfectly, but you don't really need to play the time trials to unlock much.

There is rubber banding which is annoying, but makes it more fun in the battle races.

If you like Cars movies then this game is a must have. If you just want a fun racing game, there's better games out there.
